Lake Cunningham Skate Park is a spectacular community resource. Even if you've never tried a skate board or find them annoying on city streets. This is where art and skill and youthful exuberance intersect to provide one of Silicon valley's most unique and wonderful public parks.
And, of course, it is being threatened by budget cuts. A group of citizens has formed to try to keep it open and San Jose Parks Foundation fully supports this effort. Almost $3,000 has been raised so far, and we really haven't gotten the fundraising ball rolling.
